Pamela Castillo Otoya

I am a multilingual Social Innovator with over a decade of experience designing and delivering inclusive, community-driven, and people-centered solutions across Education, Health, Indigenous Affairs, and Governance. Think of me as a project manager who blends innovation with purpose—whether social, environmental, or economic.

My toolkit includes agile and co-creation methodologies, Design Thinking (U. Virginia), DEIB practices, Behavioral Design (Irrational Labs), and impactful communications. I am also fluent in Spanish, English, advanced in French and German, and conversational in Portuguese.

I have a proven track record of having led, designed, and executed successful projects working for and with international NGOs, governments, and not-for-profits, as well as within grassroots initiatives and institutional programs.

My early career was shaped by experiential learning—discovering firsthand how “learning by playing” can spark deep engagement and transformation. This principle continues to guide my approach to social innovation today. Currently based in Canada, I’m navigating a new environment while working as an Early Childhood Assistant, where I get to observe the natural magic of learning through play every day.

I also serve as Communications and Communities Coordinator for the Sustainability Incubator Program, helping shape a new international volunteer initiative where agile meets sustainability. Beyond operations, I contribute as an advisor on social impact, the SDGs, and sustainability—bringing my background into every conversation.
